Kunal Khemu


Biography

Kunal Khemu (Born in 25 May 1983 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India) is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films.

Kunal Khemu started his career as a child actor appearing in the television serial "Gul Gulshan Gulfam" in 1987.

Later on, he went on to appear as a child actor in films such as "Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke" (1993)," Raja Hindustani"(1995) and "Zakhm" (1998). He received great praises by the audience and critics for his role in "Zakhm".

He made his debut as a leading man in the 2005 film "Kalyug" which was both critically and commercially successful. His next release was Madhur Bhandarkar's "Traffic Signal" (2007) which fared well with the audiences and critics.His latest release was "Dhol".

Khemu's parents are actors Ravi Khemu and Jyoti Khemu. His parents are Hindus (Kashmiri Pandits). He studied in Mumbai's Narsee Monjee College and is currently single.

Kunal Khemu is all set to star in an English Movie "When Harry Tried to Marry" (English Bollywood movie!). The director of the movie Nayan Pandrai was very keen to cast Kunal so he didn't let the chance go by when Kunal was in New York on vacation where Nayan Pandrai is based. Nayan Pandrai is also the writer and producer for the Movie.Other cast members for the movie are yet to be finalized. The movie is about a young man who goes to the US for studies and falls in love. The movie depicts his trials and tribulations in a humourous way. Kunal Khemu liked the script so much that he didn't waste any time and signed it immediately.
